installation, post-its, video, wood, mirror, glass, prints, “Szczepin Cookies”, 2017
“ME|THEY” is one of my responses to and an illustration of deep collective needs of inhabitants of Szczepin (a quarter of Wroclaw, Poland) that I mapped out during second edition of “What can I make for you?” project.
Deep collective needs of Szczepin residents turned out to be: the strong need for a sense of a community – collaboration, openness and kindness towards each other.
In this installation, walls of the room are covered with fragments of Szczepin inhabitants’ statements, regarding their needs, desires, impressions, aspirations, limitations and convictions.
The choice is yours: you can either just look inside from the outside through descriptions, graphs and maps, or enter and immerse yourself into whatever you find there.
Installation is a transposition of a part of the artist’s studio at one of the stages of her work on the project “What can I make for you? Szczepin_Wroclaw”.
